We Are in Big Trouble
So last night we were sitting around before the kids were going to bed, just talking about Christmas and Santa coming. They are both very intrigued by Santa. Evelyn asked if he had a car. This is the first year that they really get the whole Santa thing so I was telling Dwight that we needed to take them to see Santa. They both asked why they were going to go see Santa because they thought he lived too far away. So I explained that Santa comes down from the North Pole to ask them what they want for Christmas. I asked them what they wanted to ask Santa for Christmas and Evelyn said, "I want my own phone." Then I asked James and he said, "I want a gun." If I remember correctly they are only 3 so I am now very nervous about the future and what is to come. I figured those were things that teenagers would want but apparently not.

First Day of School

This is the morning before we left the house for their first day of school. I had been crying for about a week before getting prepped for this day so I have to say that I was so proud of myself when I didn't cry until I got out into the truck after taking them into their school. They absolutely love school and I have to write in that they are the cutest kids in the whole school. I'm pretty sure I'm not too biased, because they are the only kids that come to school with their hair combed and clean clothes. But we do live in Nevada so I guess that is all that needs to be said.
My Babies

As you all can see Ellen doesn't look the happiest when she is being held by her big brother and sister.
This was our trip to the Salt Lake City ZooI had such good intentions of keeping up with this blog but I have come to find out that 3 kids is a lot of work. I don't have time to bathe much less time to work on my blog. So it is 2 am and James and Evelyn are sick. They have been in preschool 4 whole days and are already sick. All I have to say is fabulous and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Dwight, myself and most of all Ellen don't get it. So everyone who reads this please say a prayer for us that it will skip us. I'm just posting some random pictures for everyone to see. I do have a picture of the kids on their first day of school but it is lost somewhere on the computer and Dwight keeps rolling his eyes and puffing when I tell him I can't find it. I will find it and put it up though. Until then here are some other pictures.

Thing 1 and Thing 2
Ok so this year Mom has outdone herself. I decided that James and Evelyn are going to be Thing 1 and Thing 2 for Halloween. I ordered the costumes and they are so cute I can't even handle it. We took some pictures the night the costumes got here. I will make sure and take more pictures on Halloween and put those up. I just couldn't resist showing everyone what they look like.
Our New Baby
Ok Everyone, here she is! She is our newest addition as of September 16. These are some current pictures of her so everyone can see how she is growing. I can't believe how fast she is growing already. I want her to stay a baby forever. I told Dwight I would have a hundred babies if they just stayed that way. But they tend to grow up and then they start talking back and so on. :)

Anxiously Waiting

We are waiting for our new baby finally. We have counted down and are down to 2 and 1/2 weeks. Thank goodness is all I can say. I think I have been pregnant for 2 years like an elephant. I will say that this has been much easier than being pregnant with 2 though. We will post pictures as soon as we can when she gets here. I can't wait for my family to get here too. It will be fun to have everyone here other than having my guts ripped open. :) I decided to put a picture of the twins when they were tiny. I was thinking back to then.

No More Diapers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So our little James is finally potty trained! All I have to say is YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never thought this day would come but it is here. He has been doing very well for two weeks now. No accidents. I didn't want to jinx it but apparently its really happening. It just clicked one day for him. We have been trying really hard for about the last 6 months but nothing. Apparently we had to wait for him to be ready. Weird!! Anyways I'm putting the matching picture to Evelyn's up. This was a very crabby afternoon for both of them.

Uh Oh!

OK, so I think my kids are going to grow up being a little odd or maybe just more experienced! The other day one of the dairy cows that we have had her baby which is super cute. He is all black which is much different from our usual red and white cows. So I asked the kids if they wanted to go see the new baby and Evelyn said, "Is it dead?" We have had a few dead calves lately but not that many so I'm guessing they either like the dead ones or they just stand out more. I'm guessing when they go to school we might be having to go in for extra teacher conferences. (The picture was a few weeks ago and she woke up in the car not very happy!)

Toddlers vs. Newborns
As usual getting a picture of Evelyn is like getting a picture of my mom!!!!!
Well I think my two babies are out to get me this last week. They haven't been sleeping well so they have been falling asleep around midnight and then rolling into our bedroom around 7 in the morning. Now I know for most people that is an adequate amount of sleep. But for those of you who know me this simply does not cover the sleep I need. On top of being pregnant and not being able to sleep well as it is I have to have two bad babies whining and crying at night and intermittently throughout the day because they are tired. Maybe if I started whining with them it would help. I'm not sure who said that with a newborn you don't get any sleep but I remember getting more sleep when they were new compared to the toddler days. Maybe I'm just extra sensitive. I know someday I will look back on these days and want them back very badly but for today I'm tired and I would love to take an ambien and book a hotel room for 3 days!!!! Neither of which I can do but I can dream! I think that God makes them so cute so you don't ship them off on days like this. I love my babies but I think I would love them more if they were sleeping.

Soap In The Mouth
Well I had to do it and I didn't think that the whole thing was going to be that traumatizing but it was. So my little James has decided to start swearing which is cute sometimes but not a good habit to be starting. He has started with saying Dammit quite a bit so we just talked about how that's a bad word and he shouldn't say it. Well apparently that wasn't good enough because the other day he had moved on to saying God Dammit. I will give everyone one guess where he heard that (Daddy). So I took the bar of soap and swiped it on his tongue twice. You would have thought that I had beat him for an hour. He was completely devastated. All day he talked about how "Mama put soap in my mouth." So as soon as Dwight got home James went over to him and said "Mama put soap in my mouth." His lip curled under and he got tears in his eyes. Who would have thought that I would have ruined my little boys life for the day. We have moved on after that but I'm happy to report that he hasn't repeated that word.

Easter Sunday

I just wanted to put up some pictures of the kids on Easter Sunday. I was supposed to be working but luckily had to take it off because of the trouble our new little one was causing. The kids had a great time looking for eggs. It took them awhile to figure out what they were supposed to do but once they got it they new what was going on. It was a little hard though once they figured out the eggs had candy in them. They were sidetracked! :) And as usual Evelyn was very hard to get her little face in the picture. Most of you know what she looks like. :)

Mama I'm Old

I promise to start being better with our blog so that everyone can see and hear about our not so babies anymore. I haven't figured out how to download pictures off of my phone so I have to wait for my husband to get home and show me. Yes I am technically challenged! I will put some other pictures up that I have until I get those new ones up. So the other night Dwight was really tired because he had been up having to do a c-section on a cow until 2 in the morning. I decided that the kids and I would help him get his night chores done so that he could come home "early." Well we finished feeding and watering all of the cows in the barn while Dwight had to pull a new calf. We then went to get Dwight's work truck to park it and put it away. The wind was howling, it was getting dark and a little chilly so I told the kids to hurry and run with me. James told me "Mama I can't run, I'm old." I don't have any idea where on earth he learned this but it was so funny I had to stop running and laugh. He was very serious and didn't think it was very funny. My silly little boy!
