Minnie and Grandads

So on the way to Minnie and Grandads house the kids held Bea in the car which I must admit that it did help the time go by faster. There was definately less fighting. I will add that the kids were so excited to see their Minnie and Grandad. They both had huge smiles on their faces and went right to them. It was very cute. They even were saying Minnie and Grandad when we got into Bishop.

The Great American Poop Out!

Well I'm guessing you can all tell from the title that today had something to do with poop. And you are all right! This morning I woke up with the kids around 8:30 as usual and went into their room to get them dressed for the day and so on. Well usually they are stripped down nude in the mornings which isn't a big deal usually. TODAY IT WAS A VERY BIG DEAL! Apparently their daddy had decided to give them prune juice over the weekend. I only use that for emergency can't poop situations. Well this morning when I walked in I could smell poop and they were both naked telling me that they had pooped. I walked over by their closet and they had poop everywhere. All over them, the walls, and some of their toys. I just wanted to cry and go back to bed. So I spent the morning cleaning up poop and the kids. They had to have a bath this morning which they weren't real sure about. So I did't take pictures of the incident because that is just gross but I have some pictures when they are being cute to put up.

Dishes

Well I must admit that I am a bit of a neat freak and I think my children are picking that up, which I am very excited about. Jims likes to vacuum. He has a play vacuum that he uses and he vacuums the same time I do everyday. The other night I was cleaning up from dinner and I had to kids on the counter helping so this is a video of them doing dishes. It was sooooo cute. Evelyn was even using her fork to scrape her plate into the sink. I guess there could be worse things that they could pick up. And as you will see Evelyn quickly puts her plate down once it is clean and starts to wash her feet and legs in the kitchen sink. I guess at least she likes to be clean.

Mama Love

Today I spent my day with the kids in the car going to Reno for a Dr.'s appointment. Chrissy took them to the park while I was at the doctor which I was grateful for. Well spending the day with the kids in the car by myself usually isn't the best situation and today was no exception. We had the usual throwing things and fighting with each other, screaming and telling each other no about 30 times. Mind you this is all one way on our trip. I was feeling stressed out anyways and tired. Dwight has been working from 5 in the morning until 10 at night so I am having to do everything right now (not to mention my Prozac prescription ran out 2 months ago). We all know what that means. Anyways I was at my wits end and we got home I was trying to to get the kids out of the car and in the house and so on. I sat the kids on the kitchen counter to try and start dinner. Evelyn reached over to me and said "hand" which means she wants to hold my hand. I said "Just a minute." She kept saying "hand" over and over until finally I took her hand. She took my hand into both of her hands and said, "Love Mama". I lost it. That is the first time she has said that. I took both of my beautiful babies and sat with them on the floor and I just took a minute and played and sang and did "round and rounds". It is so easy to become overwhelmed with them sometimes but these are the times that I am so grateful to be a mom. They are the most wonderful blessing in our lives and sometimes I take them for granted. I know that having 2 two year olds is someones idea of a funny joke on me but I will forever be grateful for them.

They are fast asleep now and I am relaxing and enjoying my time alone but I will forever remember today and how beautiful my little girl was today.

Cattails

Last night we went for a walk out behind our house where there are a group of ponds and tons of cattails. Well we brought home about 5 or 6 and apparently there was only one that was sufficient to play with (as usual). I tried to sit them down to say happy birthday to their cousin Ben but it just didn't work out. Maybe next year. But Happy Birthday Ben. We love you and can't wait for you to come home.

Nap Time?

Well over the last few weeks the babies have stopped taking naps, which let me add has been very bad for their mothers health. So I started separating them for nap time and so far for the last 3 days this has worked (thank the Lord!!!!) Jims loves to sleep in our bed so these are some pictures from yesterday at nap time. I don't take any of Evelyn because she is a very light sleeper and I don't want to wake her up especially since she has been getting up in the mornings at 5 am. That is way to early for mom by about 4 hours. :) I think perhaps she might be wanting to go to work with her daddy since this is when he leaves for work. I told him I would get her some work clothes and boots but so far he's not going for it.

Bath Time

I had to put this video up of the kids in the tub. They were laughing hysterically while I was doing the dishes so I went in and they were playing Peek a boo with the shower curtain.

A day at the park

So we went to the Genoa park a few days ago which I must say is the best park in the world. It is the perfect size and there is hardley anyone there. It backs up to the mountains so usually when we go,there are deer in the park. Jims and Evelyn met two friends at the park. One boy was 2 and the other was 11 months old. When the deer came into the park Jims put his arm around the baby and was pointing and showing him the deer. It was sooooo cute. Evelyn mostly gave everyone dirty looks. She is getting very good at that. We can't wait for their cousins to come stay so we can all go to the park and play.

Helping Daddy

Jims and Evelyn after spending the week with their Minny and Grandad wanted to help Dwight when he got home feed calves. Evelyn mostly inspected the situation to make sure nothing weird was going on. This is the ranch we live on and these are their calves that they are helping to feed. They both love to help Daddy. I decided to take pictures since usually when Dwight takes them from me I am sitting in my chair with a cold rag on my head(just kidding). I love my babies and I am glad to have them home. This little video is of Jims driving his daddy's mule. Evelyn is supervising as Dwight was roping a calf in the corrals. She is excellent at supervising.

Older Pictures

This picture isn't really about easter but I thought it was cute. So far we have only had one incident where Evelyn has closed Jims in the dryer. Hopefully that will be the last (yeah right!).

Ok well I finally got one of my cameras to work so I'm going to put up a few pictures. They are not by any means very current but now that I have a camera I will work on that. These pictures are from our old house up in Reno (circa Easter). I've so turned into mom and dad. I hope everyone enjoys these. By the way don't EVER color easter eggs with 2 babies at one time unless you are outside with a hose!!!
